I was not too impressed with the area, but I must admit it, the neighborhood grows on you. The location is just a few blocks from the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. I booked several nights at The Brooklyn Motor Inn. I was in Brooklyn, New York for a funeral this past week. They ruined our unplanned getaway and we do NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.** ***Also, we think the ice machine might be dirty because we both spent the first half of the day back and forth in bathrooms.… A BEDBUG bit me several times before I finally saw it. I can go on forever so here are some grows and glows: Glows: Cool cable channels, including HBO Free parking Window opens wide Location is ok, overlooking BQE Rainfall showerhead Toiletries provided Bottle opener beside room door Grows: Bathroom light switch was practically hanging off the wall Bed linens feel like vinyl/dollar store shower curtain Comforter made us UNCOMFORTABLE and had holes Rooms are minuscule, yet prices are upwards of $120 (the absolute nerve □) They wake up called us 20 minutes prior to checkout time. The micro-fridge doesn’t cool much more than an actual cooler. Both rooms are neat, however the walls are covered in scratches, scuffs, splash stains and general stains. My partner phoned the front desk to report it and we had to go back to the lobby just to be moved to a room 3 doors away from our first one. The thing is literally, the dimensions of a cooler. We booked a room with a “mini-fridge and microwave” however the MICRO-fridge wasn’t working. We walked down the creepy Twilight Zone hall to our room. To continue, the check-in process was seamless (perhaps due to making online reservations, Idk), albeit the young man seemed put out that we even arrived. As such, my partner had to take the elevator to the lobby each time we needed more ice. The lobby is unassuming and neat - and features a deceptive little waterfall wall unit.□The only available ice machine is located in the staircase just off the lobby and requires a room key for access. Where do I even begin? The parking lot is convenient, private and clean. We’re sure you’ll enjoy your stay at Brooklyn Motor Inn as you experience all of the things Brooklyn has to offer.
